The Emissary

A supplement for Jay Dragon's Sleepaway.

You were once a staff member of this camp. You were once your Character. You still are bound to what remains of their body, even if you are no longer entirely them.  A Strangeness ripped you from the brink of death and brought you back to the land of the living.  Now you serve that Strangeness, sent out into the world to fulfill its desires and do the work that needs (mostly) human hands.  As long as you follow its orders, you keep your facsimile of life.

The Emissary is a Strange Individual.  Your power comes from your Strange patron, your undying perseverance, and the driving force of your mission.

This file includes a Strangeness Character playbook for resurrecting a dead Character (along the lines of the The Moth Maiden and The Cataract Squire, both of which you can find in Uncanny).  If you'd like to play a character that's heavily entwined with the Strangeness; you like themes of sacrifice, torn loyalties, and horrible compromise; or you like the idea of a Strangeness warlock, maybe this is the Strangeness Character for you!
