The Echoes

A supplement for Jay Dragon's Sleepaway, written for the Sleepaway Jam.

There are places at camp where every path loops back on itself and time moves in strange ways.  In quiet clearings and abandoned spaces, the afterimages of the camp’s memories flicker, and the air is filled with the voices of long-gone campers.  But be careful; The Echoes care for nothing but their own reminiscence.  They reenact memories steeped in both sweet nostalgia and lingering pain, with no regard for the well-being of the players they drag into their endlessly cycling pantomime.

The file includes both a Strangeness Element (The Echoes) and a related ritual (The Endless Cycle).  Themes: memory, nostalgia, trauma, and cyclical time.
